DEPARTMENT NEWS

NEWS: NC CIT department receives specialized training from DTI R02
Northeastern College (NC) and College of Information Technology (CIT) received a specialized training on Advanced Prototyping and Product Innovation at ITC Fourlanes, Malvar, Santiago City from March 29 to March 31, 2022.
This three-day training has been organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 02 in collaboration with the City Government of Santiago. This activity aims to suit the need for a technology access center for research and development for fabrication demands. Thus, FabLab as innovation center will extend its services to students and faculty members for their pursuit for research and development which could increase the productivity and lessen the cost of prototyping, research and development of local products.
NC was represented by Mrs. Loida F. Hermosura, the Dean of CIT, together with Mr. Rogelio Agustin, Mr. Jhon Loyd Noynay and Mr. Patrick De Leon.
Furthermore, the said training aims to provide hands-on experience in programming using the following top-of-the-line FabLab equipment such as Laser engraving and cutting machine, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machine (small scale), Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Router Shop Bot (big scale), embroidery machine, 3D Machine, Huge Scale Print and Cut Machine, and to create at least one prototype for each machine.
Present also on the said training are the representative and training facilitators from DTI R02 and LGU of Santiago City.#
