GOALS
The College of Information Technology aims to excel both in instruction and research in the field of technology advancement to effectively contribute in students’ development of their skills that shall be a tool in producing a well-rounded graduate to meet the needs of society.
OBJECTIVES
The College of Information Technology aims to:
1.Provide the latest technical know-how in Information Technology.
2.Prepare its students to become Information Technology professionals that are highly competent in providing solutions for business, government and educational institution’s needs;
3.Suprport research programs, faculty development program and strengthen its linkages with other institutions; and
4.Seek partnership with Information Technology Industries in providing quality avenues to expose its students in actual organization through strengthening on — the lob training programs.
PROGRAM OUTCOMES
Program Objectives The College of Information Technology aims to: Provide the latest technical know-how in Information Technology. Program Outcomes Upon graduation, students with a BS in Information Technology will be able to: Analyze a complex computing problem and to apply principles of computing and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions. Design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the program’s discipline. Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts. Recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgments in computing practice based on legal and ethical principles. Function effectively as a member or leader of a team engaged in activities appropriate to the program’s discipline. Identify and analyze user needs and to take them into account in the selection, creation, integration, evaluation, and administration of computing-based systems.
